NEW ENGLAND FOREST RALLY NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS SCHEDULE 2011
The New England Forest Rally will take place on Friday July 15th & Saturday the 16th 2011, based out of Sunday River resort in Newry, ME and also with prime spectator locations in Mexico, ME and Errol, NH. However, if you’re chomping at the bit to start your rally festivities early, be sure to check out a couple of events we’ve got planned the two days prior to the start of the race.

Wednesday, July 13
5:30pm – 7:30pm – Join Verena Mei and Tim O’Neil at Mrs. B’s Village Store (122 Main Street, Peru, ME) for autographs, rally talk and to check out Verena’s Team O’Neil Ford Fiesta rally car.
Thursday, July 14
5:30pm – 8:00pm – Autograph Session with various teams at the Phoenix House & Well (9 Timberline Dr., Newry, ME; located just before the South Ridge base lodge parking lot at Sunday River). Sponsored by Shipyard Brewing Company.
6:00pm – 11:00pm – Pre-event Rally Party at the Phoenix House & Well. Note that the Phoenix will offer a barbecue, as well as their dinner menu in the restaurant downstairs.
MEXICO REGIONAL RALLY, presented by MT. WASHINGTON AUTO ROAD
Friday, July 15
10:00am – 11:30am – Parc Expose – Sunday River, South Ridge base area
11:31am – Spectator A – Sunday River Super Special. Best viewing is a short walk from the South Ridge base area to Brookside Condominiums, down Barker Road.
12:41pm – Spectator B (1st pass) – Mexico Recreation Park in Mexico, ME (Route 17 – approx. 35-40 minute drive from South Ridge)
1:20pm – Spectator B (2nd pass) – Mexico Recreation Park
1:35pm – 2:20pm – Service Area Open – Mexico Recreation Park (Please note that from here teams will travel to Andover, ME for the Icicle Brook stages. There are no spectator services or viewing areas here, except for passengers on the VIP Bus.)
5:00pm – Bus Departing for Concord Pond* – Mexico Recreation Park
6:10pm – 6:55pm – Service Area Open – Mexico Recreation Park
8:16pm – Day 1 Finish followed by Regional Awards Banquet at the Phoenix House & Well, sponsored by Shipyard Brewing Company. Tickets for the general public are available at the door for $20.

Saturday, July 16
8:31am – 8:46pm – Service Area Open – Errol, NH (located in the field just west of JML Trucking on Rt. 26)
9:01am – Spectator C – Errol Super Special (located in JML Trucking-owned gravel pit 2.5 miles west on Rt. 26 from junction of Rts. 26 & 16)
9:56am – Spectator D** – Sturtevant Pond Long (Fish Pond Rd, off Rt. 16/Wilsons Mills Rd in Lincoln, ME)
11:54am – Spectator D – Sturtevant Pond Short (Fish Pond Rd)
12:57pm – 1:27pm – Service Area Open – Errol, NH
2:34pm – Spectator D** – Fish Pond In (Fish Pond Rd)
4:12pm – Spectator D – Sturtevant Out (Fish Pond Rd)
6:00pm – Victory Celebration followed by National Awards Banquet (slopeside at Sunday River’s South Ridge base area)
*Concord Pond spectating is only accessible by the bus. There will be a limited number of tickets on sale for $10 at the Sunday River booth at the Mexico Rec spectator area and service area. The bus will leave the Mexico grand stand area at 5:00pm and return after the stage is complete.
** Fans arriving at the Fish Pond stage parking area will be able to catch a free shuttle to the viewing spot. Shuttles leave at 9:00am and 1:30pm. Please note that if you choose to watch the Errol Super Special (which we highly recommend!), if you choose to then proceed to the Fish Pond Stage (Sturtevant Pond; about a 30-minute drive from L.L. Cote in Errol) you will get there too late to take advantage of the first round of shuttles bringing people to the viewing areas. Those arriving too late will need to get to the viewing areas by walking through the woods (NOT on the road). Once the rally is done, buses will once again shuttle people back to the parking area at 1:15pm and around 5:30pm.
