The NEFR organizers are committed to making the 2012 event the best event possible for competitors and workers alike. Some of the new items for NEFR 2012 include:

• Completely new roads have been added for Saturday’s rally
• A “Rally Village” situated at Sunday River’s South Ridge base lodge is being organized where vendors and exhibitors will be set-up and that will be adjacent to two Parc Exposes,
• The DMack 2WD Challenge has been added as an NEFR-specific event (replacing the MaxAttack! event)
• A raffle of great prizes is being organized to show our appreciation to the many workers who help make the rally possible.

In addition to the famous polo shirts the workers receive this year (make sure you include your shirt size when signing up!!), they’ll also have a chance to win many great prizes.  While all of the prizes are still being considered, some of them include: a ride with David Higgins from the Subaru Rally Team USA, Rockstar Energy goodies, Subaru Rally Team USA gear, gift certificates, a 1-day Ford Fiesta Rally Experience at Team O’Neil Rally School as well as a worker rallycross with some free training at the school, and more.  As prizes get confirmed, we’ll build our list and be sure to share it with you.  Make sure you sign up early as many of these prizes will be awarded before the rally; as such, walk-ins won’t be eligible for many of them.

The organizers of the New England Forest Rally are pleased to announce that Sunday River, our host resort, is continuing to offer a wide range of room and lodging types with nightly rates that will remain unchanged for 2012.  The following are the rates for people attending the rally; please note that all rates except those for the Dorm are published under the “Accommodations” page and are open to all rally goers.  Our intention is to keep the rooms at the Dorm available only to those rally competitors and workers who are looking for the most economical lodging option at the resort.

NOTE FOR COMPETITORS

RV Parking: Sunday River allows for the overnight parking of RV’s in Parking lot 8.  Lot 8 is located on the access road to the Grand Summit Lodge.  This is the ONLY lot where parking is allowed for RV’s, trucks, & trailers.  Lot 3 is reserved for service vehicles with proper vehicle stickers.  Lots at the lodges are reserved for guest staying at the lodge.  Servicing of rally vehicles permitted only in Lot 3 & Lot 8.

Notice to drivers, crews, and volunteer workers: Tickets to Friday night’s Awards Banquet at the Phoenix House & Well can be purchased in advance for $10 at registration.  Anyone purchasing tickets at the door will be charged $20 (this also includes spectators).  Be sure to buy your tickets in advance and have a great meal for just $10!
